i assemble the parts with same color, or if there'll be a seam between the parts, then paint that.
some parts are painted alone
and some others are painted on their sprues that's quite lazy, and you should do it only if you are sure you can hide nub mark or fix it later.
then i put everything together, and do retouches, weathering, decals etc.
